I can’t believe it took this long for a product like Pocketease to hit the market. After 21 years of wearing a pump, I’ve struggled to find a way to keep it secure and accessible while wearing a form-fitting dress.
I’ve tried everything—thigh garters with sewn-in pockets, biker shorts, shorts with side pockets, small gun holsters (yes, really), regular shapewear with a folded leg to create a “shelf,” and even a custom slip with a pump pocket. But they all fell short. The thigh garter was comfortable but not discreet. The biker shorts and external pockets created visible bulges. The gun holster? A disaster—my pump would slip through, making it look like I had a baby dangling from an umbilical cord under my dress. And the shapewear “shelf” sometimes unfolded at the worst moments, leading to an unexpected pump delivery.

I just received my shorts and I love them! The fit is perfect (I chose mine based on my waist size). I love that I can put my tubing through the perfectly sized slit in the back side of the pocket. The zippers are sturdy, but comfortable. The shorts have two options for placing the pump which gives so much freedom in choosing what to wear. I’ve had type 1 diabetes for 42 years, and I’ve been wearing an insulin pump for 31 years. This is the best innovation I’ve seen in all these years for helping women to be practical, comfortable and fashionable while managing their diabetes.
